What to drink and when to drink?

When you invite friends to dinner in your place and they bring different kinds of wine. As a host, you should probably know which bottle you should open first and what wine combines harmonically with which dish. A correct order and a fine combination will create a unforgettable sharing experience with your friends:)

So, firstly, keep in mind that we always start with lighter, softer and feminine wine to heavier more powerful masculine wine. The secret of the power is based on the tannin contained in the wine. Some variety of grape shows less power and more smooth. to give you an example of the most seem varieties: Malbec>Cabernet Sauvignion> Carbernet Franc> Merlot> Pinot Noir > Grenache....

when you face to different colors of wine.

start with white and rose for appetizer and entree.

Then for main course, normally we serve with red wine. However, if tonight's special is seafood, you might want to open a bottle of white wine. A fine Chardonnay will intensify everything....

For dessert, a bottle of sweet wine like sauterne of ice wine could be harmony for the end of the night.

hey, but if you guys sitll on the mood. Sprits like Cognac will be the right word after dinner.

I had the hornor to asisst a tasting Last sunday, It took place at VINOTHEQUE-a cavist in center Bordeau.

44 wines tasted. Let me extract some of the best( the best according to my personal palate)

Chateau Gloria is just exepctional.People always think is a classified domaine. But actually the estate is not a cru bourgois neither grand cru classé.It's just a simple appellation which give you a big suprise.

Strong diversified aromas invade your nose.
In mouth,red&black fruits are presents plus almond,minerals...
Nice finish at the end. yummy!
